(A) Define Position

Our first step after accepting an assignment is to gain complete understanding of the duties and responsibilities of the position involved.

(B) Input From Key Individuals

To achieve this understanding, we arrange for intensive discussions with human resources personnel. In consultation with you, we then develop the exact qualifications of the individual desired. Only after these are agreed upon in writing do we begin the search. We have found that investment of this time and effort at the start of our search activity contributes significantly to ensuring that the best possible candidates are recommended. This process also gives us full view of the personality of the organization and the individuals with whom this individual will interface most frequently.

(C) Research

Our Research Department, comprised of three well-experienced researchers then conducts a thorough study of the targeting industries and corporations to identify those individuals whose backgrounds are a match for your needs. This is accomplished through:

(1) Investigating our data bank, which contains the career histories of thousands of highly-regarded individuals. Included in this data bank are sources well known to our partners.

(2) Reviewing the material gathered from earlier searches that will in any way relate to the project at hand.

(3) Drawing upon the past experience and knowledge of the entire network.

(4) Investigating the successful organization in each designated segment to identify those individuals who are making the most significant contributions.

(D) Candidate Contact

A phenomenon of resumes is that they almost never tell you what you want to know most about an individual in considering him or her for such a position.

As a result, after screening out the obvious misfits, we talk to the "probables and maybes" on the phone at some length. During the course of any search, this can come to well over 50 individuals. After the pre-screening process, personal interviews are conducted with leading potential candidates.

(E) Client Contact and Presentation

During the course of this assignment, we would maintain close contact with you. Final candidates are presented by letter, describing their personal background, professional accomplishments, why we feel the individual is qualified, and what is required to attract the individual.

(F) Candidate Interviews

After you have had ample time to study the material we have submitted on the candidate, meetings are then arranged between you and selected candidates. As the search narrows, we can assist you in conducting reference checks and final negotiations.

(G) Follow-up

As is our policy with every search, we contact the winning candidate and his or her immediate superior on a scheduled basis to make certain that all is going smoothly.
